2022 Calibration Assessment

2022 DG Calibration Assessment: Adjacent Scoring (00e-1-2022)

Description
*In this version of the assessment, we use an ‘adjacent scoring’ approach, where scores one level above or below the target are considered partially aligned to expectations and awarded half credit.

A growth-focused approach to classroom observation and feedback requires that observers acquire and maintain skills that help to build trust in the observation process. This course is designed to assess your proficiency in three important skills needed by observers of classroom practice.
The assessment is divided into three separate parts. Each part focuses on one of three important skills: Collecting objective evidence; Aligning evidence of practice to the components of the Framework for Teaching; and Assessing practice using the Framework for Teaching Rubrics. This course adjusts to the skill level of the participant and provides supplemental training, if needed, on each of these skills.

A certificate of 4 hours will be awarded upon successful completion of the assessment.
